About the author, Kathy Slamp
Kathy Slamp moved from South Texas to Alaska with her parents in 1947. The family lived for five years in Fairbanks in the far north. After that, they moved 2,000 miles to Juneau (Alaska’s capitol) in Alaska’s temperate rain forest. Life in Alaska in the 1940s and 1950s was very different from today. Kathy’s school students inspired her to share the unbelievable adventures of her Alaskan childhood.
Today, Kathy speaks as a naturalist for dozens of Alaska cruises. Her “Little House” books continue to be extremely popular with Alaska cruisers. They are now in nearly every country in the world. These two books will fascinate and capture your attention from the very first page.
